The Perfect Business for Women Over 50
by Cindy Samuelson
Item Code: XC060

Based on statistical data derived from several sources (including a Social Security study on Gender and Economic Security in Retirement), the generation of American women born between 1946 and 1964 are at a higher risk than any previous generation of spending their old age living in dire poverty. Though the material on this CD is relevant to all women, this CD was created for one primary purpose --- to circumvent the coming economic crisis awaiting the majority of America's aging female Baby Boomers.

With a determination fueled by a desire to make a difference, Cindy Samuelson, an accomplished professional network marketer, interviews Five Women (Over 50) who have aligned themselves with XanGo, a functional beverage company based in Utah. Each woman's story and life-circumstances are uniquely different, but each of their stories carries a powerful message of hope and inspiration.

Filled with humor, wisdom and passion, it's the author's desire that these women will serve as positive financial role models to women from all walks of life. The alternative to not listening to this CD is to willingly choose to be one of the 71 percent of woman who will spend the last days of her life living in poverty. Don't be part of the problem. Be part of the solution. Share this information with every woman that matters.

  • For the first time in history more than 50 percent of American women [age 50 and over] are unmarried due to changing mores, divorce or widowhood.
  • In 2001, married households had a median net worth of $136,000.
  • Households headed by single women - $29,500.
  • In 2003, 3.4 million Americans age 65 or older lived below the poverty level. 71% were women.
  • In 2004, median retirement income for a single women, age 65 and older, was $9,430 per year. For 1-out-of-4 of these women, Social Security was their only source of income; the number of women dependent on Social Security is even higher for single Black and Hispanic women, rising to an alarming 2-out-of-four.
  • Women work fewer years because they serve as the primary care giver for their families. They earn less and therefore contribute less to their Social Security fund than men. These women are likely to live alone in their old age on a startling 57% of a mans retirement income.
  • The number of childless women has grown from 10% in 1976 to an alarming 18% in 2003. THIS IS Cause for alarm because there will be no one to care for these women in their old age.
  • 75 percent of adults between the ages of 51 and 61 will experience one or more of the following life-altering experiences: Divorce; widowhood; major medical conditions; health related work limitations; or a job layoff. Any of these changes will have a dramatic impact on ones financial security.
  • Poverty increases for people over age 60. While mens poverty level remains constant in their old age, womens poverty increases.
